2nd day: SINAIA - BRAN - BRASOV - MIERCUREA CIUC

After breakfast in the hotel, departure to Gura Humorului, across the Bicaz Gorges, the most famous “canyon” of Romania – 10 km long and 300-400 m height walls of Mesozoic limestone. Lunch at the Central restaurant in Piatra Neamt. In the afternoon visit of the Agapia monastery, which was dated back to the 17th century, famous both for its museum which displays exquisite icons and pieces of embroidery and for its workshops where you can see the nuns at work. 4th day: GURA HUMORULUI - MONASTERIES OF BUCOVINA - GURA HUMORULUI
After breakfast in the hotel, the entire day will consist of guided tours of the Bucovina monasteries included in the UNESCO world patrimony. The first is the famous monastery of Voronet, dated back to 1488, also considered the Jewel of Bucovina due to its famous display of exterior frescoes decorating the church and of which the most important is The Doomsday scene. 5th day: GURA HUMORULUI - BISTRITA - TARGU MURES
After breakfast in the hotel, departure to Bistrita across the Borgo Pass, over 1200m altitude. Lunch in a local restaurant in Bistrita. Afternoon arrival in Targu Mures and sightseeing tour of the city, well-known for its squares surrounded by outstanding buildings from the segregation period. 6th day: TARGU MURES - SIGHISOARA - SIBIU
After breakfast in the hotel, departure for Sighisoara, visit this medieval city built by the Saxons around the 13th century, hometown of the notorious ruler Vlad the Impaler, also known as Prince Dracula. A tour of the best preserved medieval Romanian fortress, with its Old Clock Tower (13th century), a history museum which has a scale model of the old town and a splendid view of Sighisoara from the walkway on top of the tower. We shall also visit the house where Vlad the Impaler (Dracula) was born - now functioning as a restaurant - and the church on the Hill. Departure to Biertan, famous for the fortified church built in the 15th century. Lunch in a local restaurant in Biertan. Departure to Sibiu, sightseeing tour, visiting the old part of town, once the capital city of the Saxon community in Transylvania, where you can admire the defense towers, the Large Square and the Evangelical Church. Dinner typical for the area set in various farmers’ houses in Sibiel, a village which has preserved a lot of Romanian traditions and customs. Accommodation at hotel Ramada**** in Sibiu.
7th day: SIBIU - BUCHAREST
After breakfast in the hotel, departure to Bucharest, with a stop and visit at the Cozia monastery, the masterpiece of 15th century Wallachian architecture with its splendid icon collection. Lunch in a restaurant in Pitesti. After lunch continue to Bucharest, which is also called The Little Paris. Sightseeing tour, admiring its wide boulevards, glorious Belle Époque buildings, the Arch of Triumph, Romanian Athenaeum, Revolution and University Squares and a visit to the Village Museum.
